Tomten and the Thompsons sail from Crescent City to San Francisco 11.13.19

Sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge is a high point, a christening of sorts for sailors…..It feels good. It feels epic. We circle Isla Alcatraz and learn it is spanish for Pelican Island. We stay in a charming marina- Brickyard Cove, in Richmond. We need to “un-pickle” our watermaker and find out if it works. We also have found a marine electrician who will come and help us get our SSB operational. In between projects, we take lots of sunset walks in the beautiful dry hills. The girls head into San Francisco by BART and ferry to explore.

We are not in a rush to leave this place…..We are finding now that the first day after a passage we are all stunned, deeply tired and able to do little more than tidy lines, clean up Tomten and sleep.
